[Verse 1]
In our village lives a doctor kind
Her little chemist's shop is easy to find
The chemist smiles behind the door
With herbs and care — and something more
[Pre]
She checks your breath, she hears your chest
“Breathe in, breathe out — now take a rest”
Her gentle hands, her knowing eye
An ear that hears beyond the cry
[Chorus]
Healthy body, peaceful mind
Exercise and food combined
A balanced diet, morning walks
“Your body heals each time it talks”
From face to foot, from crown to core
Health is wealth — and love is more
[Verse 2]
One stormy night a fever burned
The ambulance was called and turned
Grandpa's breathing weak and slow
A cough — the coughing wouldn't go
His bones were tired, his blood ran cold
The hospital lights — a night so old
[Bridge]
The emergency team worked fast
Not armed with weapons — armed with care
They fought the disease hiding there
Bacteria fierce — but love fought stronger
An IV line, a bandage white
His brain stayed sharp, his will stayed bright
“I was born in storms,” he smiled,
“My birth was thunder — I'm the storm's own child
Not dead, not dying — hear me laugh!
Old trees don't die so fast, my dear
Death knocked — I said: not this year!”
The cure was love and morning sun
The breast and lung tests came back — cancer: none!
We watched him emerge into the light
His ankle steady, fingers tight
His beard grew back, his arm in mine
He raised both arms — “I'm feeling fine!”
[Outro]
Now he's back — and fit, not frail
A little fat from grandma's pho — no fail
An illness beaten, story told
Take a deep breath — and grow old gold

3. 不変の真理を表す現在形: 「Health is wealth」「Your body heals each time it talks」——いつでも成り立つことは現在形で表します。

English
In our village there is a kind doctor named Dr. Lan. Her little chemist's shop stands by the banyan tree, and behind the counter the old chemist, her father, still helps with the herbs. People come not only for medicine, but for advice: “Keep a balanced diet,” she says, “do light exercise, drink water — a healthy body starts with small habits, and health is the quietest kind of wealth.”
Last autumn, our family had a frightening night. Grandpa woke with a high fever; his breathing was fast and shallow, a hard cough shook his chest, and the coughing would not stop. His face was pale, his blood pressure dropped, and every old bone in him seemed tired. Mum called the emergency number, and the ambulance arrived within ten minutes, lights washing the walls of our lane.
At the hospital, the team moved like one arm of a single body. They were not armed with anything but skill and care, yet they fought the disease all night — stubborn bacteria in the lungs, the doctor said. A nurse fixed a white bandage around the IV line on his finger, checked his ankle pulse, and taught us a trick: “Hold his hand and count his breath with him. Breathe together — it calms the heart and the brain.” Through the small hours we watched, afraid even to name our fear of death.
By morning, the storm inside him passed. Grandpa opened one eye, then the other, and whispered into my ear: “I was born in a thunderstorm. My birth was loud — old trees don't die so easily, child.” He laughed his old laugh: “Not dead yet, not even dying. Tell your grandmother her pho is the only cure I trust.” A week later, more good news made us cry with relief: the breast and lung screenings were clear — no cancer, nothing hiding. We watched him emerge from the hospital doors into the sunshine, on his own two feet, waving with both arms.
Now grandpa is back home — fit as a young buffalo, he says, and slightly fat from celebration pho. Every evening he walks to the field and back, one foot in front of the other, his beard neatly trimmed, his strength returning day by day. “An illness is a teacher,” Dr. Lan told him at the check-up. “It reminds us to love our days.” Grandpa nodded — and invited her to dinner, doctor's orders or not.
